We know how important it is to trust someone enough to let them in your home.
HealPros works with Health Insurance Companies to help their plan members access care. If our member engagement team is calling you, that means your plan has identified that you are eligible for one of our services, and asked us to reach out to you directly. The companies we work with pay us to provide our services at no cost to you.
Who We Work With
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Diabetic Retinopathy eye screenings
Bone density scans
Hemoglobin A1c screening kit
Colorectal cancer (FIT) screening kit
Kidney Health Evaluation screening kit (KED)
-
Everything we do is preventative and non-invasive; no specific preparation is needed. Take any of your regular medications as prescribed by your doctor. It is a good idea to ensure you are properly hydrated to allow for ease of providing any test kit samples your health plan has determined you are eligible for.
-
Diabetic Retinopathy Screening – Our highly-trained Care Access Pro will use a specialized camera to take photos of the back of your eyes. There will be a bright light for you to focus on so the camera can capture a clear image.
Bone Density Scan – A small amount of clear jelly will be applied to your forearm. Our Care Access Pro will guide a wand along the area to get a reading of your bone mineral density.
A1c Test Kit – You will be given a lancet to provide drops of blood from your finger onto a sample card, which will then be packaged and mailed by our Care Access Pro to the lab for analysis.
Fecal Immunochemical Test – Sample collection will take place in the privacy of your own home or the restroom. A kit will be provided to eligible members along with a pre-paid mailing envelope. Our Care Access Pro will show you the contents of the kit, explain how to collect the sample, and return the kit to receive results.
Kidney Evaluation Kit - Our Care Access Pro will show you the contents of the kit and how to complete the finger-prick blood sample and urine sample. You will receive a pre-paid mailing envelope and instructions on how to get the kit to a lab for results.
-
For the Diabetic Retinopathy Scan, images of the back of your eyes are taken by HealPros’ trained Care Access Pros. These images are then electronically transferred to an ophthalmologist to review and determine if retinopathy is present.
For all Kits, our Care Access Pro will show you what to do, you will complete the kit, and it will be mailed to a lab via pre-paid envelope for results.
-
HealPros will transfer your images to an ophthalmologist who will be interpreting your results. If you are advised to follow-up for an in-office eye exam and you do not have an eye care provider, you may call the member number on the back of your insurance card for assistance in locating a nearby in-network provider.
-
Results for completed screenings should be received via mail to both you and your PCP on file within three to four weeks. Results will be sent separately for each screening completed. Your health insurance company will also receive your results.
-
Of course! Please note that we are only able to come see you if your health insurance plan has told us you are eligible for one of our services. Call us at 855-261-5716 Monday-Friday from 9am - 6pm EST to see if there are available appointments in your area.
